Cold Comfort: Surviving the Canadian Winter on Family Heritage Day.
Our Southern Ontario winter has always presented both challenges and opportunities. Come to Westfield on Family Day and learn how our Canadian climate has affected our way of life from the earliest days of settlement through to the early 1900s. Discover how winter has affected how we work, play, travel, build our homes, socialize, dress, eat and ... survive! While you're here, make yourself comfortable at the Ironwood restaurant or warm yourself by the fire at the Inn. Dress warmly, and be sure to watch out for snowball fights that may occur without warning!
Admission for an adult is $8.50, a senior (65+) is $7.50, a student (13-17yrs) is $7.50, a child (6-12 yrs) is $5.50 and a child under 5 years is free. The Nature's Rewards pass is valid for this programme.
The Sweet Taste Of Spring will be here soon. Our Maple Syrup Festival takes place on Sundays March 4, 11, 18 & 25 as well as Wednesday, March 14 and Thursday, March 15 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Special Event prices apply to this event.

More about Westfield
Westfield is a stunning collection of over 30 historical buildings which has made Westfield one of the most interesting historical destinations in Ontario. Carefully restored and staffed with costumed interpreters, the buildings capture the true charm and spirit of early Canadian culture.
Visitors may witness living history demonstrations and take part in guided tours of the 130-hectare site which is bordered by beautiful woodlands, meadows and trails.
Westfield also offers a variety of education programs. Groups can choose from several options that are curriculum driven and come complete with teacher’s kits. Check out "School Programs" at left for more information.
