Watershed Report Card released

Hamilton Conservation Authority has released its 2013 Watershed Report Card , reporting on the state of Hamilton's watersheds. Conservation Authority watershed report cards report on the state of Ontario's watersheds so residents are aware of their local conditions and also so that informed decisions can be made to ensure the ongoing resiliency and sustainability of our water and land resources.

Adventures in the Valley

Each day of Adventures in the Valley includes fun filled games, activities and a take home craft. Sign your child up for any or all of these one-day mini camps.  Camps run from 9:30 AM to 3:30 PM and are held in the Dundas Valley Conservation Area at 650 Governors Road in Dundas. Cost is $45 for members and $50 for non members.  Programs include: July 12: Get Out & Explore, July 19: Magical Metamorphosis, July 26: Sky Hunters, August 9: Habitat Heroes, August 16: Wild About Water, August 23: Get Tracking.

Christie Antique Show

May 25 & September 7, 2013

Hundreds of Canada's top antique dealers and collectors display and sell a variety of treasures. With 10 acres of vintage items waiting to be discovered, there are items to please both the novice and the most experienced collector. From antique shows featuring over 300 dealers, to concerts in a lakeside setting, to family hikes and activities, HCA has a wide range of special events running throughout the year. Westfield Heritage Village offers several historical and holiday-themed events. Wild Waterworks has a busy summer of exciting activities and special events including beach parties, teen nights and more. Valens Lake Conservation Area

Valens Lake Conservation Area is one of our busiest areas in the winter months. Valens Lake is open for winter camping, offering a unique camping experience for tenters or RVs. Enjoy the warmer winter weather while enjoying the peace and quiet of camping in the winter months.  Take a hike on a winter’s day and see some of the wildlife that makes Valens Lake their home. When conditions permit, you can explore the trails by cross-country skiis.
