Flood and Erosion Notices

Province wide, conservation authorities are the lead flood forecasting, warning and prevention agencies. As part of this work, the HCA operates dams at the Christie Lake and Valens Conservation Areas, and manages natural flood-control areas such as wetlands and floodplains. These services play an integral role in the protection of infrastructure, industry, property and natural lands. Click here to learn more about our dams.

This page provides the latest flood, erosion and ice danger notices issued by the HCA for the Hamilton watershed. These advisories are forwarded to the media, school boards, fire and emergency crews, and municipal officials. They are also posted on this web page.
